Support women through pregnancy, recovery, and their return to movement.
This course prepares Pilates teachers, yoga teachers, fitness instructors, and midwives to work safely and effectively with pregnant and postnatal clients. Combining anatomy, physiology, and practical teaching skills, it provides tools to adapt movement to each client’s changing needs.
Available online, in person, and in a hybrid format.
Prenatal Movement
Learn to guide clients through every trimester with clarity, sensitivity, and confidence. The prenatal training explores the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy and translates this knowledge into practical choices about exercise, breathing, cueing, and class structure.
Through discussion, shared experiences, and practical application, participants explore common misconceptions and develop the skills to create supportive classes that respond to individual needs.
Learn to support clients after birth with a progressive, individual approach to movement. The postnatal training explores the physical and functional changes following pregnancy and childbirth, with an emphasis on core function, pelvic floor coordination, and movement quality.
Postnatal Movement
Develop practical tools to adapt sessions to each stage of recovery, guide a gradual return to exercise, and recognize when referral to another healthcare professional is appropriate.
